When does the baby move upwards in your abdomen?

What i mean is when you first start feeling movements, they are very low down in your abdomen. When does the baby start to move up and out of your pelvis and into your tummy/mid-tummy area?

The reason i ask is because i'm sure that i'm feeling movements higher up than i did a couple of weeks ago. Obviously i know the baby will be growing etc, but was just wondering about this.

Text books say about 14-16 weeks but can differ from person to person. Same with when you can feel baby first moving. Some people can feel them very early on 11-12 weeks others it takes alittle longer.

Hi RG- what Cupcake says! Even now at 36 weeks I still get some VERY low movements (as in it feels like its gonna pop its arm out and say hi!)

Hmmm that could be why i think i'm feeling movements higher up then!
