hello ladies, i found out i am pregnant (complete shock as not planned). took time to accept it. had back pain last week so went hospital. i was told baby measured 6 weeks, i was sure i was 8 weeks. i noticed that all my pregnancy symptoms have stopped abruptly. they also told me baby has very slow heart rate. went back on Sunday due to more back pains, scan showed no heart beat at all. went back for a confirmation scan yesterday and they saw heart beat (82) but baby only grown to 2.6 (supposed to grow 1mm a day , so only 0.6 over 3 days that than 3/4 mm). they said it is 90% likely to have MC. I feel really sad. please tell me if you ever had baby slow growth as such rate. please tell me whether it had bad/good ending, really want know either way :-(. i have scan in a week and OMG it seems 10yrs away.

Hi OP, my story didn't end well I'm afraid. Mine measured small and had slow heart rate at 6 weeks, it had grown a bit and still had slow heartbeat at 8 weeks, at 11 weeks the heartbeat stopped.

I've had 6 MC and that was one of the worst for me because you get your hopes up when you see the heartbeat.

My only advice would be, if you get the option, go into hospital to pass the MC, and ask if the foetus can be tested. It was by doing this that we discovered a genetic issue, and subsequently DH and I were able to have more tests re infertility than the usual tests. It gave us some answers.

Hope you're ok, I know that it's a really horrible situation xx

Dear Cheesy, so sorry to hear that it ended like that. Do you remember what where the measurements at all?. I really hope that you and ur DH have found the tests helpful.
I completely understand what u mean it is just devastating when they tell u 100% sure Heart has stopped, we actually booked surgery too, only booked confirmation scan cuz 2nd sonographer wasn’t a viable 1st time. Then there is Heartbeat but slow. Just reading posts here I wonder if baby will actually somehow catch up. I already have other Childeren but this 2nd MC in a raw

I'm sorry but a slow HB is almost certainly an indicator. I had one a few months back and immediately saw in scan it was slow. I knew what that meant but the consultant tried to play it down. Then a week later no HB.
I second a pp to get genetic tests done. Ours came back with something and it's helped immeasurably.

Lilibabyboy2020 · 28/11/2018 08:30

Very sorry to hear about ur loss Parad. I am hopeful because they got it totally wrong when they said no HB and went ahead with booking the surgery. May be they got it wrong this time too.

I had this with first miscarriage, had bleeding and scan showed slow heartbeat. Went back a week later and it had completely stopped. :( mine wasn't good news

Paradyning · 02/12/2018 10:45

Was thinking about you this morning OP. When is your scan?

Gilli1234 · 04/12/2018 14:42

Hi, I’m sorry to hear what a dreadful situation you are in. I’ve been there. My baby’s heartbeat was only 46 bpm at 6/7 weeks. I had a miscarriage at a 9 week scan. I did read all the clinical data while this was happening and the odds weren’t good with my statistics. I knew in my heart I was miscarrying. It broke my heart. I did read of some positive stories however with mine the heart rate was so slow that it was never going to end any other way.
I hope you get through this tough time waiting, try to take each day at a time xx
