28 Week Blood Work & GCT - Question

Hey everyone,

After your 28 week blood test for iron and GCT if you did it, did you get a letter with the results? It was 3 weeks ago I did mine and I haven't received anything...

I'm in a midwife pool so I don't see the same midwife each time, I've tried emailing the address to ask but they never reply. I don't have a number unless it's an emergency one which I don't feel comfortable calling for something like this.

I'm seeing a GP this week for my slightly delayed 31 week appointment... but I doubt he will have the results..?

The reason I'm keen to check them is my baby is consistently measuring in 97th percentile for abdomen, I had the GTT in the early 20s of the pregnancy but I'm always cautious to check that I dont have diabetes, also keen to check the blood work to make sure my iron levels are good.

Any advice?

I had my 28 week bloods and the GTT test just over 2 weeks ago and heard nothing. I called last week and the midwife said my sugars were fine and if anything showed they always call. I think no news is good news, especially with regards to the GTT test.

Thanks for that. It’s just weird as with every other test I get a letter. I don’t really have anyone to call only an “emergency triage” number which feels a bit silly... 🤔

My experience in this and other pregnancies is that no news is good news. When my recent bloods showed an iron deficiency I got a call within 24 hours.
I’m sure you’d know by now if you had GD.

I had my GTT and full bloods today - have already had my blood test results back this afternoon, they are going to let me know tomorrow if my GTT results are abnormal by telephone - if normal I will get letter.

I have online access to my records and so far thats how ive found out. Havent recieved any letters and been told they would call if any problems

God I would love online records! That sounds so easy !!
