Codeine in Labour

So my MW told me to pop to my GP and ask for a prescription for codeine to take during labour. Went to GP who said she wanted to check with the practice MW about using it and dosage etc. Phoned to say she would give me a prescription and to take it in early labour as taking it close to birth can make baby sleepy (had already discussed this with MW and I'll be taking it under supervision of a MW if I need it so I'm not too worried about dosing). Went and picked up prescription and she's prescribed me all of two 30 mg tablets. Now I'm hoping I don't actually need to use them, but my concern is if I have a prolonged early labour which goes on for days. Where is 2 tablets going to get me? Going to speak to MW at 36 week appointment next week anyway but just wondering if anyone has has a prescription for codeine for labour before now? Thanks
