Hi, just starting this post hoping people can give me some advice or share any similar stories with me.
this pregnancy has been a nightmare from the start.
12 week scan bloods came back high risk for downs and Edwards ‭syndrome. This was probably due to my Papp A being so low 0.14. I opted for the private non invasive screening and thank goodness that showed no cromosone abnormalities. I read up on Papp a and what it could mean and I asked to be referred to the consultant for growth scans and put on low dose aspirin. Which they agreed to do.
Next at the 20 week scan I was told my placenta was touching the cervix so would need another scan at 32 weeks hopefully it will have moved.
no such look. 22 weeks I bled not a lot but went in to be checked out all seemed ok so came home again.
24 weeks the bleeding started again more this time tho so back in. I was given a scan which shows my placenta had done the opposite of what we wanted it’s now totally covering my cervix and I have been told very very unlikely to move.
since the bleeding has stopped I’m now home again and will be 25 weeks Tomorrow. There is still pinkish discharge when I wee but I have been told it’s any red fresh blood we look for!
im so scared and must go check for blood every five mins. I feel like I can’t get excited or too attached to my baby because something is going to go wrong.
ive been told today to stop the aspirin for a week as they thin the blood hopefully I can have a wee without any sign of pink. It’s all been such a struggle and I feel like I’m here waiting for something bad to happen.
I would greatly Appreciate anyone else who has been in a similar situation to help me.
thank you so much. Claire xxx

Flowers I had placenta praevia and had bleeds at 23, 26, 30, 31, 32 and 35 weeks. Each time I was admitted for a few days afterwards. I had the steroids. After the one at 35 weeks I stayed in and DS was born by EMCS at 36+3 after a big bleed. He was a healthy 6lb15 and is now 6. I wasn’t in complete bed rest but did nothing for 10 weeks. No lifting, pushing supermarket trolley, hoovering, sex. Lots of rest. Good luck
