This is my first baby and had a growth scan two weeks ago at 36+3 and was told would see the midwife again in 2 weeks and would get a letter. It just came and is booked for when I am 39+3. Is it normal to have it booked so late?

My next growth scan is when I’m 39+6!! If I’m honest, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.

I just wish they would stick to what they say for appointments especially as on the NHS website

Is this an appointment for a scan or to see the midwife?

My midwife appointment are every 3 weeks from 25 weeks - so 25,28,31,34,37&40 weeks

Sorry! Just realised how patronising my last post looks! You can obviously add 3 to 25 Blush

In my area after 36 weeks you see midwife at 38 and then 40 and 41 so, which is the NHS guidelines but I last had a growth scan and seen midwife on same day at 36 weeks and won't be seen again til 39+4. I phoned them to find out and told me that there is no space until then. I am consultant led so classed as high risk.

I’m consultant led but see my community midwife for all the regular midwife appointments. Could it be that that’s what you’re supposed to do?

I have to book the CMW myself through my GP surgery (where I see her) x
