Have no inkling for gender?

15 weeks, having private scan next week to determine gender, but I feel so strange. With DD I was adamant I was having a boy, and whilst I may have been wrong, I still had an inkling Grin This time around I have no inkling whatsoever. Is this normal?? Have put a scan up before to see if other people's opinions would prompt me, but I only got a few responses and feel none the wiser. Did anyone else have this??

Not sure what you mean. Why 'should' you have an inkling? At best everyone can have an uneducated guess with a 50% chance of being right... Unless you have a blood test or see something on a 20 week scan, and even then they are not always accurate every time. Not having a suspicion is not unusual. It is by it's very nature a surprise!

There's no reason to have any idea about your baby's gender. I hadn't a clue. DH was convinced our first was a girl, and he was right. Neither of us had any idea about the second until I had a bad rash towards the end and saw this was much more common when carrying boys!

Third pregnancy and never had an ‘inkling’ as I knew that it was 50:50:

I am 39 weeks, have no idea.

I had a strong instinct DS would be a boy. No inkling for one sex or the other this time either! It'll be a long 18 weeks 😁
