When did your second baby "engage"

Hi, I'm 34 weeks pg and went to Mw on Tuesday. Head is down but not engaged. I know it can take longer on second+ pregnancies but at what point did everyone's second and subsequent babies engage.

Just want to feel there is an end in sight.

With dd2 it still wasn't engaged at final appointment with midwife.
dd was born 4 days late but only took 55 minutes so it didn't matter that she hadn't been engaged.
I remember the midwife telling me that with 2nd pregnancy's they don't always engage til labour.

Mine engaged at about 36w.

Quite early infact. I think she was 3/5 at about 34 weeks, but the little angel was still 2 weeks late, and arrived 8 hrs before I was booked for induction.

Pelvic, sorry, just did a double take.
55 MINUTES To deliver.
You lucky, lucky thing

Was 33+6 on Tues when saw MW and she said I was 3/5s, but was 2 weeks early last time so might be this time too (she says hoping)

DS2 didn't engage until they broke my waters 2 hours before he was born. They had to do a controlled breaking of my waters (one midwife held on to him whilst other broke waters) because he was still so high up. Was one very bruised baby when he came out but fine now!

bozza · 21/06/2007 20:45

didn't

maxbear · 21/06/2007 20:46

I was 36 weeks but I think there was no room to go anywhere but down. Still didn't come for another two and a half (long) weeks. With my first it didn't engage until labour I don't think

lol B.O.M
yeah was good but giving birth without assistance wasn't so good.
