Hi I fount out I was pregnant about 5 days ago with my pregnancy test being a very faint line and two days after it was still faint I just knew because of the symptoms I was experiencing I had an ectopic in April 2018 just under 8 months ago and lost my left tube I’m now worried I’m going to have another one I keep having a ‘twinge’ like feeling on my right side but also on my left sometimes but I notice it more because I’m looking out for it it doesn’t hurt but I can just feel it abit like a throb but it doesn’t hurt at all I had my bloods done Friday and my hormone level was 48.5 had them done 2 days later and now they’ve more than doubled to 106 but still low could be really early I’m having another blood test Tuesday they said if it doubles again they’ll ‘concider’ scanning me again because I had one and nothing was seen as it was to early also iv experienced no bleeding yet I check every second of the day just feel like I’m waiting for it because that’s how it started last time my last period was 18/10/18 and it’s now 25/11/18 does this sound like an ectopic to anyone ?? Literally going out of my mind

It is impossible to say, but the chances of a successful pregnancy following an ectopic are very high.
My kids are 9 and 7 now, but I still remember those 2 weeks after the bfp where I was on constant knicker watch, and analysing every single twinge.
The increase in hcg is a really good sign. That's about all you can go on at the moment.
Fingers crossed this bean has stuck in the right place, and in 8 months time you are having new born snuggles.

It doesn't sound particularly ectopic, no. Pain/cramps are common in early pregnancy, either way. Doubling hcg is a good sign of it not being ectopic as well.

Any shoulder tip pain?

Eggapple123 · 25/11/2018 19:16

I thought I had shoulder pain the other day but it was my left shoulder and I’m pretty sure it’s because iv been sleeping on that side a lot! I’m literally looking out for things because it’s worrying me so much and all I can do was wait I was expecting to be told my numbers hadn’t doubled and it was a miscarriage or ectopic cus after the last time I can’t help but believe it won’t get that far:( But last time it started with bleeding and the pain came after the only thing that’s really worrying me atm is I don’t feel pregnant much apart from being tired and out of food and the twinges in my right side x

Sounds like a normal early pregnancy. You wouldn’t expect to see anything on scan until your hCG reaches around 1500. The odds of having two ectopic pregnancies in a row are extremely low. Fingers crossed for you Flowers

I think it’s because it’s happened before and then I see so many negative posts online but I am hoping for the best !! Get my bloods done again tomorrow and then hopefully I’ll know more it’s so nerve racking if all goes well tomorrow I’ll get booked in for another scan really trying not to get my hopes up though If it happens again at the age of 22 I’m gona feel so awful !! Thankyou for the positive reassurance:)

Sorry to go out but I feel like iv lost the plot now iv totally had enough of not knowing what’s going on :( I have a on and of sort of ‘dull ache’ in my right side abit like what you feel during ovulation it’s not painful I wouldnt say but I can feel it and it’s really worrying me still no blood but now Iv read that some people don’t bleed I just think if it was healthy surely I wouldn’t feel any discomfort at all where my healthy tube is supposed to be it’s really worrying me now I feel like it’s only not painful because it’s so early and so small and in time the ‘ache’ will turn into pain with my first one I bleed and then started getting pains until it was unbarable I don’t know if I’m being paranoid or because it happened the first time but I can’t get my head around this ache on one side like surely that’s not normal :( my left shoulder is aching now and iv been having back ache and again to which is making me even more paranoid last time they left it to late when I know there was something wrong and I don’t want to loose my right tube as that will make me infertile but I feel like there not going to catch it early enough :(! Most people don’t know until they end up loosing there tube all together really not sure what what to do iv even read that people’s hgc levels have doubled and it’s still ended up being ectopic I’m really worried now:(

Pelvic pain is very common in pregnancy as the uterus starts to grow and the ligaments stretch. You can also have one-sided pain from the ovary that you ovulated from as the remains of the egg (corpus luteum) helps keep the pregnancy going until the placenta develops.

I had sharp pain in my right side from above five weeks up until about seven weeks - it wasn’t an ectopic and they never found any problem or reason for the pain.

It’s totally understandable that you would be worried but there are lots of things that can cause the pain you’re having, the chances of a second ectopic are very low and you are having monitoring of your hCG levels so everything that can be done is being done.

Hope you get an definite answer soon.

physicskate · 26/11/2018 23:04

The pain used to be so bad it would wake me up during early pregnancy. I don't think you're being entirely rational and this sounds more like anxiety to me (that is not meant in harshness - it's only natural after having experienced a negative outcome).

Eggapple123 · 27/11/2018 16:01

Hiya!
I had my bloods done today they had doubled again which is a good sign I suppose I was so worried!

My numbers were
48.5
106
211
So she’s booked me in for a scan this Saturday she said she still might not see anything but they want to make sure the baby’s in the right place and catch it early if not but she said the doubling numbers is a good sign fingers and toes croessed!!

Well looks like the worst is happening the twinges turned into my pain and I had bright red spots of blood looks like it’s turning out to be another ectopic rang early pregnancy unit they told me to see how I go over night and ring up tomorrow :(

Hold tight.
Bright red isn't usually associated with an ectopic. Flowers

PremierNaps · 28/11/2018 04:24

Sending good vibes OP. Hope this goes well for you

DannyWallace · 28/11/2018 06:50

Hope all is well OP Thanks

Eggapple123 · 28/11/2018 18:45

So I went to AnE last night and had a pelvic exam which wasn’t to painful she then said she felt something on my right side she said it felt like a cyst but she’s not 100% sure and she can’t rule out an ectopic I said it it was an ectopic would you be able to feel it she smiled and said no but iv just read online that you can feel ectopic through pelvic exams and now I’m panicking I don’t have the scan till Friday to work out what it is 😩
