Planned induction - positive experiences

I’ll be having a planned induction, probably with constant monitoring due to what happened in my last birth. I wondered if anyone had any positive experiences of inductions and what made it so?

I haven’t had an induction, but my best friend had 2 planned inductions as she was overdue. Both very straightforward, and she was home the next day. She said she liked knowing when she would be going into labour, and felt more in control.

I had an induction at 39 weeks due to hypertension. It was all fine and straightforward. Needed 2 lots of gel to get things going, waters broke on their own about 8 hours after the 2nd gel, and delivered 3 hours later. Had a 2nd degree tear but don't know if that will have been related to the induction or not. Didn't have an epidural because things progressed so fast and there wasn't time.

I’ve had 3 children, the 3rd being a planned induction. I had a pessary inserted, my waters went a few hours after and ds was born an hour after that. It was my quickest and easiest labour and birth, despite being my biggest baby (9lb) and back to back.

(I was 41+5 so don’t know if being so overdue had any bearing on how simple it was)

I had induction with my first at 38+5 due to bleeding they thought it was safer for him to come early. Had a pressary on a Monday not a lot happened in between and then they broke my waters the following day at midday, had him that night at around 7pm. all went fine x
