Hi there
I had my 12-week scan last Friday. The baby was very active with a heartbeat 😍 however they want to bring me in for a second scan in 2 wks as the MW couldn't get all the measurements. There was an area of shading over one side of my uterus the MW asked if I ever had any operations which I havent. She thought it could possibly trapped wind either.
Google is not my friend at the moment it keeps throwing up terms like tumour etc so ive come on here for a little reassurance.
This is my first pregnancy, no MCs, no operations and no history of cysts etc.
I do suffer at times from trapped wind esp since pregnant. I thought the bowel and digestive areas weren't near the uterus.

I can’t offer any advice in terms of experience but I do know that when I had some early scans, I was told they couldn’t see my left ovary and quite often had trouble seeing other people’s because it’s so close to the bowel etc. And if your slightly constipated or have any trapped wind then it makes it very difficult to see.

Oh I had this, well not during my scan but when I went for an early scan they couldn’t see one of my ovaries & they told me I had an awful lot of bowel gas. It’s probably that it won’t be anything to worry about, it’ll just be because they couldn’t get a clear picture to take measurements for your screenings. Good luck. Don’t worry x

Yeh I’m sure it isn’t anything to worry about. And you’re totally right. If it isn’t one thing then it’s another. I was exactly the same.
And baby was looking good which is brilliant news. Loads of people have to go back for measurements because they couldn’t get them the first time due to a wiggly baby or other things.
Good luck OP. X x
