Did anyone's HCG take more than 48 hours to double?

Once your HCG levels passed about 3000, did they take longer to double? How long? And did you have a successful pregnancy?

What are your levels OP.
Mine only just doubled in 48 hours.
From 2739 to 5407

I had a previous pregancy which resulted in miscarriage where my levels didn’t even double in a week. X

@MagicalCreatures Mine were 3410 and then 48 hours later were 5106

Ok. So not bad.
I did find some information when I was going through the miscarriage about once HCG reaches a certain level, it starts to rise more slowly. As long as it doubles and rises quickly in the very early stages, then that’s a good sign.
A friend of mine was very similar, hers nearly doubled in 48 hours at about 5 weeks, maybe 6 at the most.
She had a boy. I’m having a boy too.
I did also read somewhere that girls tend to give a higher HCG then boys. Hence why morning sickness is sometimes recordered worse with girls.
Maybe your having a boy 😁 x

@MagicalCreatures Right? I looked online and it said once your HCG is past 1,200ml it can take 72-96 hours to double. If mine kept going at the rate it did between those two readings my doubling time would of been 82 hours. The doctor however said he was extremely concerned it hasn't doubled. It's so confusing. I've got to wait until tomorrow afternoon to have more betas and I'm losing my mind. I haven't slept. The stress is sending me into overdrive. We tried for 2 years for this baby!

That sounds about right. I’m sure that’s the same info I found. And there’s a lot of sites where they tell you that is the case. The doctor shouldn’t be stressing you out like that.
What gestation are you?
I’ve just found mine and I had my first level taken 21dpo when I was exactly 5 weeks from my LMP (but I ovulate a few days later) and my second 48 hours after that.
2 years is a long time. It must be very scary for you. X

MagicalCreatures · 25/11/2018 09:04

Sorry not 21dpo. 19dpo was the first one. The second was at 21dpo x
