We had nine newborn size ones. I ran a nappy wash every evening and dried them on the airer overnight. Worked for us.

I bought loads 2nd hand because I didn't have a tumble dryer and chosse to use bamboo little lambs which take ages to dry.

How many you need depends on what

type
Fabric
How often you'll wash
What drying facilities you have

Look at thenappylady website as she has a great questionnaire to help you. Lots of videos and advice too.

I can't remember how many we had but I do know they needed changing every two hours. We started with Motherease nappies and wraps for day time and Terry square, plastic pants and booster pads for nights. Then as each child came along I discovéred new stuff and we also used tots bots and ones that looked like teddy bears when handing on the line!

Full time cloth, washing every 2 to 3 days generally works out at about 25 Nappies.
About 10 newborn size is a good number as baby will outgrow them pretty fast. Birth to potty ones usually start to fit well from 12lbs or so.
Your local nappy library will be able to help www.uknappynetwork.org/find-a-library.html

Thank you :) I really don't want 'disposable' nappies but never realised how complicated reusable ones could be haha!

Everywhere I have read says about 25, if you're planning to wash every other day/every 3 days. So that's what I've got. We bought most of them second hand though or it would have cost a fortune!

We got 20 little lamb microfibre ones with 6 wraps. They came as a kit with a nappy pail, liners etc. I wash every other day and have used them from birth and that number has worked well for us.

Not sure if you mean buy new but can I recommend you try a nappy library? You can borrow a range for free and they also do long term loans- works out so much cheaper. I always thought I'd just use one brand and didn't realise different types are good for different times of the day/going out etc.
