So I had my first appointment with the midwife today and although I did state that I wasn't 100% that I'm pregnant all she said was if you've had more than one test it's likely that you are. I've took 7 in total all positive but the most recent one was a second line but it's colourless so all throughout the appointment I felt like I could be wasting this midwife's time I haven't had a period since September but have been told it's normal after implant removal I'm due to have my first scan on the 28th of this month and still I don't have confirmation if I am or not so feel like I'm wasting their time. Also just to add I would have accepted a confirmation pregnancy test but my doctors don't do them or blood tests for pregnancy

You wouldn't have had 7 positive tests if you're not and you haven't got long to wait to see for yourself that you are so once the scan is done you can accept and enjoy your pregnancy.

It’s very very rare that a midwife or Dr will do a pregnancy test when you’ve had positive tests at home and no bleeding.
7 positive tests is far more than I’ve ever had (on my third pregnancy) as I’ve never taken that many tests! They’ve always taken my word for it.

The first scan is to confirm a viable pregnancy so a lot of women don't 'feel' pregnant until they see their baby on the screen. It's when it all becomes very real and getting your due date helps too. A lot of women go the first 12 weeks having just one positive pregnancy test and that's all it takes. I would just look after yourself as if you are, take folic acid and cut out banned foods and you'll have confirmation soon enough.

Ah right okay thank you girls :) I think it would help a lot if I knew my periods were missed but because of coming off the implant I was all over the place anyway and didn't get one since the removal 😂
