So I've had no end of problems with this pregnancy. I have SPD and degenerative disorder of the pelvis (found before pregnancy) so I have a consultation Monday to discuss induction...

For the past week my baby has been SO low I can barely walk, the pain in my cervix with every step is insane. I've been to hospital at 29 weeks due to tightenings every 10 minutes for 8 hours in a day so they checked me. Cervix was still closed. I'm 32+1 today and had a growth scan yesterday. The lady who did the scan said babies head is way down in my pelvis and on the scan photo you can see her nose and everything is squished (I'll post a photo)... with my son he wasn't in my pelvis at 32 weeks and I could always feel him in my ribs. I never feel her movements that high up where she's so low. Will she stay that way til 40 weeks or whenever they decide to induce? Or has anyone had baby so low sooner and had them sooner? Not that it's important, just wondering!

Wanted to know other mums experiences! The pain of her being so low is ridiculous and I get a stabbing in my cervix all day every day.

Also, TMI... but me and my partner tried having sex 2 nights ago and it felt different to me... not painful but it felt different. He looked uncomfortable so I asked if he was okay and he said it felt different too, like less room, a lot less room??

Thanks for comments! :) posting scan photo below! :) x

My baby has been really low for the whole pregnancy, but not engaged. I’m 36+5 at the moment.

It’s agony, I agree!

As baby grows a little more, you’ll start to feel his bum under your ribs. It’s... interesting. Mine also likes to stretch his legs towards my hip bone, so I generally feel prodded by that.

Can’t comment on when baby will arrive yet, but they haven’t mentioned inducing because of his position. They’re scanning me regularly, but it’s for another reason (although baby’s position does complicate things!)

Hopefully yours won’t turn breech at the last moment though - I’m still hoping mine is too firmly wedged to do that!

My DD was low from 34 weeks and that’s when my spd began with her, this baby has been low since 26 weeks, I feel her movements around my hips and no higher than my belly button, practically bed bound with SPD. Have you tried a birthing ball and being on all fours? That provides temporary relief for me. Hopefully your baby changes their mind and moves up a bit soon, it sucks.
