Stretch & Sweep - Bloody Show 36 hours later

Just a quick one.

I'm now 40+4. I have a S&S on Weds at 1pm and had no bleeding or anything.

Yesterday afternoon I started with quite strong period pains and at around 11pm I had a 'small' bloody show but since then I've been loosing small amounts of mucus and blood.

I'm sure with my others my bloody show was more and all in one go and then labour started pretty quickly.

Is it possible that it wasn't my show and was just from the S&S even though it was 34 hours later?

I am having my first bubba so not the best one 40 weeks plus 5 here. I think i am early stages ... I read somewhere that your cervix can bleed / small blood vessels burst dilating so I imagine it is possible to have it as you are. Hopefully an experienced mum will be able to more confidently advise / share experience

It could be your show in bits and pieces, that happened with mine Smile some come out in one go but some keep coming in little bits!

Good luck x

Thank you.

Well it's still continuing - finally had a big 'lump' of it about an hour ago.

Back pain and nagging period pain have been on and off all day but seem to be pretty frequent since the 'lump' and stronger but I know, from my other labours, that they aren't intense enough to be classed as contractions as yet.

Fingers crossed she makes an appearance soon!
