Hi everyone please help with this. I get £42 a week in child tax credits so totals £169.10 a month. Will I qualify for this grant ?? I had my baby on 15th October. I applied before but as my child tax hadn't started I was eligible. It has only started this week. It says I have to be on more than the child family element. Please can someone help.

It's only for the first child, is it not?

This is my first child. I have only recently been able to start child tax as earnt to much last year so did my partner. But because our income is less for this new tax year combined as he lost his job and I am on maternity our money is less.

Yea you will be, I get £45 A week child tax credits but no other benefits and I got the grant approved. Just be aware you can only apply up til 12 weeks after the birth of your child
