Worrying about weaning in pregnancy...

My husband and I are looking to try for another baby but my only concern is that my 14 month old daughter is still breastfeeding in the evening and morning (I've worked 3 days a week since she was 7 months old). Should we wait until she is older and put off trying? Or should we try, see what happens and let her wean as a pregnancy progresses? I have PCOS so it was a shock falling pregnant with DD so I am not sure how long it would take to fall pregnant. We had a chemical pregnancy last month which we were so excited about when we first got the positives. Im just most concerned I am being selfish not letting my little girl feed until she wants too. What would you ladies do?

She may not wean whilst you are pregnant, plenty of people tandem feed. I didn't ovulate at all whilst breastfeeding though so couldn't have got pregnant if I'd wanted to!

Personally I'd see what happens and if you get pregnant just take it as it comes.

Thank you for your reply! Just feel daft but I’ve been worrying about it so much. If I hadn’t gotten the positive pregancy test last month I wouldn’t have thought I was ovulating. I’m hoping that she would still feed because she loves feeding. Just didn’t know if I should wait just because of the feeding or hope the feeding continues. Suppose you’re right just seeing if we fall pregnant first! Then worry about the feeding. Thank you xx
