Hi

I’m 39 and have a history of very early MC (more like CP’s) - two in the last year. I’ve also had surgery to remove cysts from my Fallopian tubes (about 5 years ago).
After watching GP’s Behind Closed Doors last night I got into a bit of a panic and rang the hospital today to discuss my situation as I was worried my GP hadn’t passed on my details accurately (new doctor who seemed less than interested when I went in to see him). They’ve asked me to go for an early scan tomorrow morning and seemed concerned.
I’m now in a proper fluster. I’m six weeks, I think - last AF was 11th October and an average cycle of 25 days.

Can someone say something nice and reassuring please???!

I had a MMC in March and I am 12 wks pregnant now. I was scanned once at 7 wks and then again 10 days later to check that there was a heartbeat each time and that there had been the appropriate amount of growth during that time.

I know how hard it is (I was a quivering mess before my 12 wk scan especially), but try not to worry. It's great that the scan is tomorrow and not farther away. They did the same with me, it's a good sign that they're on the ball.

Early pregnancy after a loss/losses is really tough. Hang in there!

They are probably only concerned because of your concern and your history, it doesn't mean they think you have had a MC. You likely have a healthy little bean in there.

An encouraging story: I am 36, had a CP followed by a MC late last year. When I got my BFP this year I was a nervous wreck, I kept on peeing on sticks to check it was getting darker (don't do it, it didn't always get darker, which caused unnecessary worry) and had an early scan at 7 weeks. I would have had it earlier but we were overseas from 4-7 weeks. The scan was reassuring and I am now 38 weeks :)
