I eat bananas.... and pomegranite (I think that is how u spell it!)... and loads of chocltae does the trick .. found myself eating a pot of chocolate truffle sauce from m&s on sunday..definitely gave me a buzz, don't know whether that was because I was so pleased I could eat 1200 calories in one sitting and not give a damn!

as well as iron rich foods (leafy greens, moderate amount of red meat, eggs, lentils etc) make sure you're getting enough vit c which is essential for iron absorption. If you're feeling very tired you could be lacking a bit of iron. Dark chocolate is also good and sooo yummy! Get a giant bar of Green and Blacks and have a nice cuppa, I always find that works!

Protein foods will help you stay alert, especially after lunch

Things like nuts / seeds / beans / lentils etc are all very good. Eating a lot of carbs at lunchtime will give you a mid afternoon dip
