What does it feel like if your baby is Breech?
I’m 30 weeks and all the strong kicks are down low rather than up high.
Could baby still be sideways at this point?
Not due to see the midwife for another couple of weeks.
Could this suggest a Breech baby?

What did it feel like if you carried your baby Breech?
Also, opposite to most people, I wouldn’t be unhappy if he or she is Breech. As I want to deliver by c section, and they’d have to honour My request if baby was the wrong way!

My second baby was breech and similar to you all movement was low down. However I was young and had no idea of this and didn't find out till the day before my due date where we attempted to turn him. My third was breech until 34 weeks then just turned

I'm at 30+2 and my baby has been breech and almost entirely over to the right hand side since the start - at every scan, and still now, as confirmed last week by my midwife.
I get most of my movement down low, and a lot of direct bladder jabs. I can also feel his head poking through the skin at the top of my bump. He's also crushing my lungs, so I can't sit comfortably or eat unless I'm stretched out.
Being breech at this stage isn't that unusual, and I'm hoping he'll turn as I'd hate a section delivery. My midwife isn't concerned yet and says we'll discuss options at 36 weeks...

My third was breech. Yes, not movement low down, head at top. He was born feet first at 39 weeks.

Ladymargarethall · 22/11/2018 07:45

Most movement.

Mine was breech but bum first, so i could feel her sqidgy bum at the bottom and harder head at the top but also her feet up there, constantly bracing against my ribcage Envy was a relief to us both when she was cut out! Grin

DC1 was frank breech so I felt movement all over. Her head and feet were at the top and her bum was at the bottom. Never turned and was born via planned c-section.

fleshmarketclose · 22/11/2018 07:52

My second was a footling breech what I remember most was how uncomfortable it was having what felt like a football wedged under my ribs. Movements weren't too different to my first as dc2 tended to elbow me regularly and get me with his knees. He was head down until 34 weeks though by which time there wasn't much room for him to stretch out as I'm a shortie.

I'm pretty sure mines still breech - strong kicks down low, and light flutters higher up, also she is lying ot my left - I can feel her back along my side and a boney bit (head and bum) at either end of it! I'll be asking the midwife to check tomorrow. I want a c section anyway so anything that facilitates that is good in my book!

halfwitpicker · 22/11/2018 13:07

Both mine were breech. Their heads were right up by my stomach, i used to rest a brew on their heads Grin They were all on one side too.

halfwitpicker · 22/11/2018 13:07

Kicks down below too obviously

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 22/11/2018 13:12

My first one was double breech, so bum first, her head used to dig in my ribs and her feet in my other ribs. It was most uncomfortable! I was glad she was 18 days early and only 6lb 12. My second (and last) also started moving at 8 months and I was told if I had any kind of pain or fluid or anything to go in immediately. Luckily he turned himself in time, which was just as well as he was 9lb 7 and couldn't have had him double the width!

Good luck OP

Mines still breech at 36 weeks. He frequently sticks his hard head out at the top of my bump. I think he has one foot underneath him at least as I have sharp pains very low down. Then random (either one foot or hands) pushing out high up on the right side of my bump. Also my bump is very high and more square than rounded 🙈 xx

TheSubtleKnifeAndFork · 22/11/2018 14:11

I found out yesterday at an unexpected scan (consultant appointment about something different) that my baby is breech. I'm 31 weeks. Midwife told me at 28 weeks that baby was head down, although the consultant also thought this by feel alone, and was surprised to find a bum on the screen when she put the scanner on!

Kicks are felt low down, to the front of my bump, not on top. The top of my bump is very round and if feels quite high an uncomfortable. I get odd jabs that feel very low down indeed (almost in the top of my legs at times).

Ladymargarethall did you have to push to be allowed a breech vaginal delivery? Obviously hoping my baby turns but if baby doesn't, and if EVC didn't work... well I'd prefer a vaginal breech delivery over a c-section any day of the week... but I'm wondering how likely that is to happen?!
