36 weeks and fed up

Had growth scan today at 36+3 and estimated 5lbs 14oz the 50th percentile.

I finished up work last week as needed to use up holidays, maternity leave kicks on start of December.

Keep getting pressure and pain down below a few times a day and heart burn still killing me at night. My stomach moat of the day feels tight and sitting gives me a sore back.

Worried I won't make it through these last week's with my sanity intact.

Hey Op! You are not alone! I'm 37 weeks on Saturday and feel so rubbish. My stomach feels so tight, my ribs are killing me and heartburn is raging. I can't sit down comfortably and driving is agony. I feel like you, I am wondering how I will get through these final weeks! I've still got three days left at work and I'm struggling so much. This is so not fun is it?!

Definitely not, my poor partner must be getting fed up of listening to me complain. He been a star and rubbing my back and looking after me though.

Hey I'm also 36 weeks (today) and I found out that baby is back to back, and the back pain is horrendous, sleeping is a shit show, walking is a shit show, sitting is also a shit show! I'm just uncomfortable allll the time so I feel your pain! We will get there not long to go now, but it's such a miserable time these last few weeks isn't it 😖

On the flip side I'm so grateful to be able to carry this little man and he's healthy and I've had no major issues

Athers666 · 21/11/2018 21:56

Ha ha, my dear husband has been a star puttting up with my moaning all the time! Every night he gets me the hot water bottle for my aching back and he's been sleeping in the spare room so I can thrash about and moan all night, lol.
But as December2018 says, I'm so relieved that this baby is doing well and I do appreciate how lucky I am. Just can't wait for him to be here now!

I’m sure you’re very uncomfortable but as a parent of a preemie I would take uncomfortable over watching your child in the NICU... just a thought.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy hope the next few weeks fly by and your little baby will be in your arms soon enough 😍

38 weeks pregnant and don’t know how I’m going to get through the next 2 weeks or so. Heart burn is constantly raging and my nasea has returned with a vengeance and much worse than 1st trimester. Sleep is non-existent but I’m constantly physically exhausted and too big to get my own shoes on without a fight. Baby keeps punching my bladder and I pee the very 5 minutes (usually only 5 drops). My thirst is unquenchable and I swear I’m always suffering from motion sickness...Braxton Hicks hurt, weird pelvis and muscle pain, sore abdomen, inability to roll over in bed...ugh. Oh and I’m too heavy for my own weak legs.

But there is an upside I may have for you ladies who are a little behind me- I had god awful pain in my rib cage and back up until 37 weeks and then as baby decended into my pelvis it disappeared!

36+4 here. Have had virtually daily medical and monitoring appointments for the last 8 weeks with constant threat that baby would be a small premmie. However, CS now booked for next week at 'full term' and no more monitoring! Feel huge relief as anxiety has disappeared and I can get on with my life for a week! (not forgetting the constant exhaustion, lack of sleep, need to pee, heartburn, weeing when I cough and all the delights of late pregnancy!). Well done for getting this far everyone. This bit will definitely be forgotten when you're holding that baby in your arms.

I feel your pain. I'm 35 weeks, next week is my final one at work and I'm really struggling to manage. Stomach is crampy and sore a lot from Braxton Hicks/constipation/wind/etc, I'm knackered, breathless, terrible heartburn, very sore back and hips and constantly need the loo.

My friend had two premature babies one 8 weeks early and one 10 weeks early and I was there with her every step of the way as her husband was posted overseas so I been through the nicu experience twice albeit not as a parent as this is my first.

I too am glad my boy is growing and is completely safe. I guess I just wanted to moan and not at my partner for a change haha

I totally understand, all I seem to do is moan, I know it's bad, this little man took us 7 years trying.. the hardest years of my life... I am very grateful for my miracle boy but it's still a drag and uncomfortable isn't it hun 😖😊
And I think we should be kind to ourselves and allow a little moan every now and again lol xx
