Hi I am currently 7 weeks preg with dc2 suffering REALLY badly with nausea from the minute I get up until the minute I go to bed! Doc prescribed heartburn medicine even though I told him I’ve had none & then after going back been given Cyclizine. I took one tonight and after a while did seem to ease the feeling but am worried that it’s not good to be taking this? Esp so early on? Anyone took it or had any experience with it? Was your baby ok?

Yes I took it, but didn't start until 20 weeks or so. Honestly, they won't have prescribed it if it's not good for baby.

Hope you feel better soon.

I ended up in hospital at 10weeks and they have me IV cyclizine and then once I was discharged they gave me cyclizine tablets, I was reassured by two obstetricians that it was completely safe. I hate taking anything so literally only took it on the days I could hold anything down but it definitely helped.

I took metoclopramide and cyclizine from 6 weeks with 2 pregnancies no issues

I took it during first trimester 3 times a day and it reduced number of times I was vomiting. Baby not born but 20 week scan showed everything looking normal xxx

It's fine, it's safe, it's one of the most commonly prescribed medicines for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. I was taking it from first trimester up to the birth with my first baby (who is fine!) and in subsequent pregnancies was given a prescription in advance when TTC so I could start taking it as soon as the sickness began.
