Anyone have epilepsy?

I have it due to brain cancer but haven't had a seizure since my surgery a couple of years back. I think last night I had a partial seizure - does this affect anything, should I tell my midwife? I'm almost 28 weeks

I don't have Epilepsy but I would definitely advise that you tell your midwife as they may want to keep a closer eye on you.

Hi I have hormonal epilepsy and I'm 8 weeks pregnant.

It's vital you tell your midwife and specialist, i am under a consultant, midwife and specialist nurse, due to my epilepsy I'm high risk and have to have blood levels taken each month to make sure my medication levels don't drop causing a seizure, have you spoken to your specialist?

Yes, I have epilepsy controlled on Carbamazepine. I had a tonic-clonic at 16 weeks with DD1, none with DD2, and none so far this pregnancy (11weeks).

I think you'll be fine, but do speak to your midwife for reassurance. Are you receiving any extra monitoring? Lots of epilepsy meds need dosage adjusting in pregnancy. What are you taking?
