I'll try to keep this as short as possible but please read this and tell me what you think ..

I am 4.5 months pp after section. Absolutely no issues, healed well and felt great after a week or two. Periods restarted about 7 weeks pp and so far I've had three- all of which have been bang on time. Last period ended on the 24th of Oct and I had sex on 26th. I'm not on any contraception and we usually use condoms but had none and it was just two days after period ended (and I always ovulate a few weeks later in the month) we just used the pull out method. So three days later I have small amount of spotting - I instantly thought implantation bleeding. Then I rationalised and thought how unlikely this would be but did a test a few days later just to make sure and it was negative (although looking back it would have been so early to test). So now I'm three days late on my period. I had lower back pain about 5 days ago which usually starts a few days before I get it but nothing has come and now the back pain has subsided. Tested three time and all negative. Should I make a doctors app? Or would I be wasting their time after only being late three days? I'm just worried as it doesn't look like I'm pregnant so I'm panicking that I have a problem post section even though I've healed really well

I'd wait and test again. If you're late and getting consistent negatives you're either not pregnant or the HCG levels are too low. You'll spend a fortune on tests! Give it until you're a week late and try a First Response.

Thank you, Cleo. Do you think it would be a bit premature to go to the Doctor then? I guess my worry is that I have some kind of problem caused by the section, although I don't see why it would start 4 month pp after 3 regular periods.

After my first c section I had three clockwork cycles (first time in my life!) and then they became irregular and different so it could well just be your body still adjusting after giving birth.

I've been told my my GP before that their tests are no more sensitive than the home tests so probably not! As PP said it could definitely be that your cycles haven't settled. Mine were regular then not then regular for about 9 months after birth! If you haven't had a period soon and still test negative I'd pop to the doctors to see what may be happening Smile
