12 week scan - TOMORROW - and I'm nervous as hell.

I have my 12 week scan, tomorrow, morning and I'm really nervous..

I had a bleed at 10 + 4 so had an early scan at the EPU. The baby was moving around and we saw the heartbeat..

Please tell me these are good signs, because, I've read so many horror stories (yep I'm stupid!) and I'm driving myself crazy.

Also, would the scan tomorrow be able to tell us if anything is wrong or would we have to wait?

Thank you all in advance

I was very anixous until 11 week scan, even though id had a scan at 8 weeks. Everythhing was fine.

I think they would be able to know certain things at the 12 weeks but for me it was 20 weeks where they check all the organs etc

Hey lovely I get so nervous before every scan so totally understand where you're coming from. I was actually sick in the waiting room cos the nerves got to me...I also read more sad stories than positive ones. But, I promise you, your odds are bloody brilliant, especially if you've seen a heart beat and happy baby quite recently. I doubt they will be able to tell you if there's much wrong (remember it's more likely everything will be fine), but they told me at mine that everything looked really healthy and they do a quick look at the main organs but baby is still tiny at this stage. Sending love I'm sure all will be ok xx

Babyno2mamabear I'm trying to be as positive, but, if I go through life thinking everything is ok then that is when I get let down you know? I don't like to set myself up for a potential fall.

Thank you for being positive xxx

JustMe18 you sound exactly like me lovely. I kept telling my husband that at least if I told myself the worst was going to happen I wouldn't be as shocked/upset because I was prepared. But then I really thought about this logic, and even if you tell yourself the worst will happen, nothing will ever ever prepare you for it. So you're better to try and keep as positive as possible. I've been struggling loads with anxiety this time but really talking about it helps. I'm not one who wants to hear facts, figures, numbers and being told to be realistic doesn't work for me. But I am really confident things will be ok for you, and sometimes that's all you need to hear. It really helped that I told the sonogropher how I was feeling, she didn't put it on the screen and as soon as she saw the heartbeat she turned it on. Within 2 seconds her words were "there's a baby with a strong heart beat"...so do let them know how you're feeling. Love xxx

@justme18 it's horrible isn't it. But it does ease up a little as time goes on. They cpuldnt get all the measurements they needed at my 12 week scan so I went back last week (15 weeks) and again I was too nervous to look! I've felt loads better since then though. Just be kind to yourself. Let me know how you get on tmw xxx

Hey don't know if I can get any help nut I have no where else or anyone to talk to. I am due baby no 2 in June. got my 12 week scan on friday my husband never came to any scan with my 1st child but he really wanted to go this time round. His friend wife had a baby at 23 week and unfortunately passed away today and he saying he might not be able to come to the scan. that really upset me and I feel I am always put on back of his list. I told him how I felt and he goes this is not the time. I don't know what to do because anything can happen at 12 week and I am just scared. I don't know if I am been unreasonable with him
