Sorry for the incredibly long winded story.

On Wednesday evening I began to feel tight chest pain that travelled across to my back, I was unable to lie down or even sit with my back against anything as I was in so much pain. The pain had gradually gotten worse, so I called my maternity unit yesterday morning and they advised for me to come in as I’m 33 weeks pregnant and have a family history of pre-eclampsia.
They did tests for not only pre-eclampsia, but also for blood clots on my lungs and a pulmonary embolism, as well as doing scans on my heart. My CT scan has come back clear as has everything else, so after a stay overnight I was discharged this morning, even after I explained that I still believed there was something really wrong.
My blood pressure is fine, my urine sample showed protein but not enough to be worried about, my pulse is high at roughly 111BPM, and the baby seems to be doing fine through it all thank God, his heart rate is perfect and he’s never stopped kicking.
The pain has refused to go away and if anything is gradually getting worse as it is spreading all from my left side right across to my right side and I am unable to even attempt to lie down to sleep, I am not convinced that there is nothing wrong as I cannot even breathe without being in a lot of pain. The doctor is trying to play it off as a pulled muscle but I have certainly had that before both on my shoulder and back and I know that is not what it is. Has anybody else suffered with these symptoms and gotten any further help?
I’m so worried that something is seriously wrong and they’re playing it off as me being anxious or overreacting as this is my first pregnancy and I am so young.

If the scans and tests have all come back normal then it sounds like it could be a muscular problem.

Keep a note of the pain and how it's moving across your torso and see your gp. Explain that you feel like you're not being taken seriously and the pain is making it difficult to sleep and is causing you serious concern.

I hope that you feel better soon xxx

Is it your chest or your ribs? I suffer with Costochondritis which can be really painful at times and it effects my ribs causing pain all round.

I had gallbladder pain like that, of course I'm no doctor so really have no idea what I'm talking about.

@mumsytobe - did you have a chest x-ray to rule out chest infection?
