D&V at 38+4, extremely dehydrated - help

My DD seems to have a tummy bug which I have now picked up. Started feeling ill yesterday afternoon and with v bad diarrhea (100% water, sorry tmi) lost a lot of fluid very quickly which then caused me to have a lot of Braxton Hicks as I now understand can happen with dehydration.
Baby was very quiet and I was feeling v unwell so triage suggested to come in. When I got to the hospital I was violently sick three more times and my urine was dark brown and full of ketones (4++). Baby’s heart rate was a little high. I was given IV fluids and finally sent home 5 hours later once heartrate had settled and I was more hydrated (1++ ketones at this point)
I’ve been resting all day and trying to drink as best I can but my urine is still so dark. I’m not sure whether I should be concerned go back? Seeing as it caused baby some distress last night.
Advice welcome.

If you're still feeling dehydrated then it can't hurt to get checked again, you may need more IV fluids.

I would ring triage again and explain and see what they suggest. Sounds as though you may need more fluids. I hope you feel better soon.

I've spent the whole week in hospital due to extreme dehydration, for an unknown reason not D&V, and have been given IV fluids and IV anti-sickness meds until I managed to take over and keep food and fluid down myself. I'm 39w today. I would definitely go back, especially if you still had 1++ of ketones because they can go back up fairly quickly if you aren't managing to eat and drink regularly. It's no fun at all but they can monitor baby to make sure it's happy too.

R U keeping fluids down fine, now?

Are you still being sick or having diarrhea? I would call back if so.

Go back. I had D&V at 37 weeks and was given IV fluids and anti-sickness and it made a massive difference. Hope you feel better soon. Flowers
