Hi
Because I love mumsnet I thought I'd rant here before my love ones lock me away somewhere Grin
I am 39 weeks +1 and sooo fed up. This is just taking ages now.
I have my DD who is 2 running around the house and I've given up on keeping up. My nesting phase seems to have diminished.. I am still trying to go for long walks and stay active. If i drink anymore raspberry leaf tea I'm going to become one.
Just so fed up. Also thinking of switching my phone off from the amount of "any news" texts I'm getting. Heavens when this baby is born I'm expecting there to be a sign in the sky as if batman is about to visit!
My DD was induced so there was no guessing game. My poor DH is ready too... but nothing we can do to force the lil one out
Any tips on how to stay sane?

I've never been in love with pregnancy I prefer the having baby in arms bit.
Probably gonna go and submerge myself in some more Netflix now.
X

You have my sympathy. 39w today and analysing every twinge and tightening, driving myself mental.

The last weeks of pregnancy are a very special kind of torture. Hopefully baby turns up soon for you!

40+5 here. I feel you!!
Also haven't 'loved' being pregnant and still waiting for the excitement and the fear to kick in.
I found making some plans even if it was just coffee in the afternoon with someone to help up to now- I've still drove myself crazy but it did help to think I had something little to do each day x

38+3 here and I could have written your post. I only had a few more days of pregnancy before doing into labour with DD but I feel like this little one won't be coming anytime soon! Feeling bigger and more uncomfortable by the day!

julzx · 18/11/2018 11:41

keylovesAva · 18/11/2018 18:34

Sending sympathy. I got to nearly 42 weeks. I resented those last two weeks, I've had shorter holidays!

LuvSmallDogs · 18/11/2018 21:36

Ugh, I know what you mean, I’m 38 weeks today, and I’m already done with this one. He’d jumped up the measurement chart last MW appt, if he’s done it again on Wed I’m going to be referred for an extra scan in case he’s a giant. He feels massive and painful when he wiggles compared to my other two - one of whom was 9lbs+ and almost 42 weeks along FFS!

Purplepjs · 18/11/2018 21:41

Urgh, 38+1 here and I’ll join your camp. Not funny anymore. Had 5 hours of mild (still ruddy painful) contractions last Sunday which made me think she might come early. But no. Just a false alarm. Have had HG throughout and am soooo tired and nauseous now. Last week I got so fed up I actually cried over an unexpectedly small potato. There is no hope. If this baby is two weeks late I shall be a blubbering mess!

Mrstobe90 · 19/11/2018 00:51

Although I am so thankful that I was able to conceive and have my beautiful dd, I absolutely hated pregnancy and by the end, I was totally fed up so I tried a lot of things to encourage labour.

This may be coincidence but when I was 38+5, I bounced on my birthing ball for an hour while twiddling my nipples (releases hormones that encourage labour - I wasn't just doing it for shits and giggles) and the next morning I went into labour. 😊

Good luck xx

39+5 sooooooo fed up of it now. Everyone has been saying I'll never make it to due date because I'm huge.

keylovesAva · 19/11/2018 17:10

@Purplepjs I am in the same boat... I dropped a can of coke and it exploded all over my just mopped kitchen floor. I actually sobbed hahah Grin.

Also thought I felt some progress over the weekend and nothing! Had midwife appointment today and she said I'm 3/5 engaged but I've heard you can't really judge with that.

Figures crossed we all get there emotionally and physically in one piece ladies!

Alas ...5 days and no sign of baby. Pretty bad irregular contractions for about 3 hours last night.. fell asleep and nothing.

I have moved onto evening primrose and upped the raspberry leaf tea. Major bee in my bonnet today!! Blush Angry

39 weeks and no sign of baby a few twinges but really want something to happen. Probably going to have a sweep on Monday hope it starts something off really want to avoid an induction Sad

Purplepjs · 24/11/2018 17:06

My little monkey has decided to be breech! So going to try to turn her on Monday and if she won’t, have c-section booked for Wednesday. Can’t quite decide what I’m hoping to happen...don’t really want a c-section, but don’t really want to give birth either! Either way am not really looking forward to the ‘turning’ on Monday! Hope you’re all jogging along ok.
