Need some advice

Hello all!
I need some advice. I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant with first DC. Absolutely over the moon! Before we found out I was expecting, DP and I booked time away in a hotel to visit friends. I currently have a cold. I'm hoping it will be gone by Wednesday when we leave.

However, I found out today that a friend we'll be meeting up with on Wednesday has been to doctors today and has Gastritis Inflammation. No antibiotics, just been advised to take to paracetamol and plenty of fluids.

My question is, will it be safe to meet up with her? I want to see her, as she lives a distance away and we very rarely see her. Would she be contagious? Or is it something that I don't have to worry about? It would be awkward going down and seeing everyone else but saying 'sorry, I have to keep my distance from you', so if it's not safe I would probably cancel the whole trip altogether.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

She will need to be 48 hours clear of any symptoms for you not to be at risk of getting the virus .

If she has diaorrhea and or vomiting that is very easily picked up.

Ps - gastritis just means inflammation of the gut ... so it depends on why she has gastritis.

Given the time of the year though there is a good chance the gastritis has been caused by a virus.
