Just got positive pregnancy. I'm nervous and excited. What should I expect at my first doctors appointment

You don’t need to see gp, unless issues- most places you can self refer to midwives, they will see you for booking appointment at 8-10 weeks here.

I did see my GP, urine sample to test for infection and blood pressure checked. Also weighed me.

I had to see GP to be referred to MW for booking appointment. GP took my BP and weight and went through the dos and don'ts. 3 weeks later MW booking appointment was just lots of questions about lifestyle and health etc. Good luck and congratulations!
