Bleeding/clots/12weeks

Hi everyone
New here and not sure what to post
So bit of a backstory. Me and bf accepted for IVF and got all tests and appointnents done this year. Got told treatment will start next year.
Week later find out we're pregnant naturally :)

At 8 weeks i bled. Lighter than a period. Heavier than spotting. We had an early scan done and everything was fine. Bled/spotted couple times since.

So now at 12 weeks and bled (like a light period) yesterday morning. Went in and had our 12 week scan. Saw baby move :) everything ok. Got home. Few hours later, heavy bleeding and big clots. We went back in and they did usual blood pressure and tests and urine. Seemed fine. Bleeding calmed. Came back this morning and had internal check and was told only old blood left and uterine wall closed so all seemed ok. Have to go back in a week and a half for another scan.
All day been feeling weak and fast heart rate. And last hour or so quite bad cramps and spotting dark blood (like old blood)

When i asked doctor why this could be happening , they said its normal for some women to bleed.
Im just terrified constantly and really exhausted and wondering if anyone been in same situation :(

I’ve not been in that situation, but it sounds horrible - sending big hugs and much sympathy.

I bet you are feeling weak and with a fast heart rate because you’re so worried and worn out, and not because there’s anything wrong - it’s quite a common stress thing, really. (Not saying this to be dismissive, but to try to reassure slightly. It’s horrible when stress feels like an actual bad thing, but I suppose that’s its job.)

It sounds like you’re hopefully just experiencing some normal pregnancy weirdness. Many people have had symptoms like this and it has all turned out fine - even with red blood sometimes.

But yes - it sounds absolutely terrifying. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. X

I'm 15 weeks and have had 3 major bleeds with clots so far with spotting all the way through. I have a extra chrononic hemorrage which is apparently causing the bleeding. Really does make pregnancy more stressful! It's good that they are going to scan you again. Hope everything is ok, try to rest and keep your feet up xx
