Early Pregnancy Hip Pain

Can anyone advise? I have a toothache like dull pain in my left hip joint and less of a pain but it's there, in my left shoulder. Is this normal in early pregnancy? Anyone else experienced this?
I'm 4 weeks, 5 days today.

It could be an ectopic pregnancy. Shoulder tip pain is an indicator. I'd go to a and e. Can you ring your gp right this second? Failing all that, 111.

All might be fine, but this could turn into an emergency quickly.

Hi OP. Not sure about the shoulder pain - as Physicskate says I believe this can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy so worth getting it checked out. What I can say is that the dull ache in the hip (my right in my case) was my very first symptom of pregnancy. It started 3 days after my 5 day embryo transfer (so about 8dpo) and lasted about 3 days. Then it was replaced by a host of even more unpleasant symptoms! Never had anything like it before or since though.

I've rang 111 and they are going to get a nurse to call me back. Like you guys say it's worth getting checked out.

Had it checked by docs and it's muscular pain. Taken the afternoon off to rest as I ached that much and was so tired! Feel guilty now for leaving work colleagues in the crap! Thanks for the advise ladies x

Glad it was nothing serious OP. I remember when i had this around implantation time it was extremely miserable - I couldn’t get comfy sitting in any position and walking was very painful so I feel for you. Hope it goes away soon xxx
