Found out I'm pregnant for the first time ever a couple days ago. Very exciting and my boyfriend was very happy too, however I feel like he doesn't understand how big this is. Also feel like he doesnt understand the sacrifice that I've got to make with my body. He said he doesnt want to stop going out even though obviously I can't drink anymore. Just feel very alone because I'm only 5+1 weeks and I've not told anyone about it yet.

I think you need to give your boyfriend time to let it settle in, as you said it’s a big thing so it’s a lot to take in! You also can’t expect him not to go out because you are unable to drink, you need to find other things to do together but still let him enjoy his alone time!

Unfortunately the first few weeks can be lonely if you decide not to tell anyone until your scan, I felt the same but try not to get too down about it because it won’t be like that forever!
