So i know its somewhat normal to have knaff sleep in your 3rd trimester, but im really struggling to lie on my sides :(

Im getting excrutiating pain after what feels like minutes(although i know its probably an hour or 2.)

Its worse on my right side but once it starts in one side it echoes in the other. Making it impossible to sleep.
All I want to do is lie on my back 😭😭😭
(Im not btw)

Has anyone else had this? Is it just my ligiments stretching out? Getting fed up now

This is me every night as well, I'm 28 weeks. Try a spiked massage ball. I get my boyfriend to roll it on my hips and lower back before bed and it does seem to help me sleep for longer although it doesn't help all night. I also take paracetamol before bed.

I have ordered a maternity support belt which is arriving tomorrow so I am hoping this will help me too.

Same here, it's 2.30am and I'm wide awake...tired but she's kicking me everywhere and I can't get a good position while awake let alone while asleep. Also felt like being sick a lot recently and was sick the other night, every time I lie flat I seem to want to be sick... I'm 36 weeks. I didn't get any morning sickness in the first trimester so I guess it's catching up with meSad

But hang in there ladies and think of this as practice for when baby comes, a lack of sleep is expected! Gl x

@chloem93 I say the same!! Literally got away with first trimester illness...

Here I am 26+1 with pregnancy carpal tunnel, PGP and up with a migraine and sickness. Can't have it all I suppose 🙈

You're allowed to lie on your back if you're propped up, that's the only way I could get any sleep.

I’m also struggling with this at the moment. I’ll be 28 weeks tomorrow. I’m going to get a body pillow to see if that will take some of her weight instead of it feeling like she’s pulling my stomach down so much. From my understanding you’re not to lie flat on your back but propped up with pillows and stuff should be fine. I’ve had to sleep like that due to acid reflux and I always lie on the sofa in a L shape?

I'm in the same boat. 31+6 and can't sleep on my side, my hip hurts and my shoulder and arm go numb. I never get proper sleep either it's always restless. Im a bit worried because I woke up on my back loads last night.
