I’m 6 weeks. Never in a million years did I expect to get pregnant again. Everything crossed it’s a sticky bean

Congratulations @5fivestar. Here’s to a happy and healthy pregnancy! X

I’ve just my healthy little girl. Found out after my very boozy 40th. Complete shock but wouldn’t change it for the world!

Congrats!
Me too... 43... and 10 weeks pregnant after 4 miscarriages, hoping for a sticky bean too... 🤞🏻

I'm 39 but will be 40 when this little one joins us. I'm either 7+1 or 7+5 depending on whether my scan or LMP estimate is right...

mellongoose · 15/11/2018 11:19

I'm 42 and 13 weeks. Come onnn... repeat after me....we ARE spring chickens!!

5fivestar · 15/11/2018 11:20

I’m glad there’s a few of us. I keep getting horror stories from an admittedly very negative “friend” about how I’ll be high risk and no water births etc - I will be having a water birth lol

I'd love a water birth, but have had two c-sections so I won't be allowed Sad I'll be lucky if I get a vbac

5fivestar · 15/11/2018 11:55

Tbh you’re not missing anything FrazzleRock. I’d quite like a general anaesthetic if I was being truly honest, just because I can do it doesn’t mean I want to.
Had a nice chat with my local midwife team and they are really happy for me to gave a home birth, MLU whatever I fancy up to 40 weeks after which it’s an induction but I can’t see why I couldn’t be induced and still go in the water

@5fivestar this is my second baby. I had the last on in the pool at aged 38. At my booking in appointment the midwife told me I'm low risk. The only risk factor is my age.

She said she will argue for me to come to the midwife led unit again this time.

That’s good to hear ... I don’t see why it should be a problem if we are generally healthy and we’re not daft we know what we’re doing being old and wise ☺️
