Am I miscarrying?

I know none of you will actually be able to tell me if I am or not. I just wanted people's thoughts and opinions.

11.5 wks pregnant today. My booking appointment is next Tuesday. Noticed an hour ago some brown tinged CM when I wiped, like the old blood type of colour. (This is going to be TMI, sorry) I got a bit panicked and so had a feel with my finger inside my vagina and there was some white-ish/clear CM and also some that was pink. It nearly looks a bit like lots of little bits of the mucus plug.

I had a MMC earlier in the year, also at 11.5 wks, and it started out with me wiping and noticing that the loo roll was tinged very, very light pink. I went to the EPU the text morning and they confirmed no heartbeat, it took another 36 hours before I started to properly miscarry though.

I rang my EPU half an hour ago but they are closed until next week, so earliest I can be seen by them is Monday. I have had 2 scans with the EPU so far because of my recent miscarriage (not because of bleeding or anything) and both times everything was perfect.

Has anyone had any similar experience whatever the outcome?

First try not to panic, I know it's hard. It may not be the same thing. Keep hydrated and rest. Try and sit on the bed with your feet raised up on a few cushions (my Mum was a midwife and used to tell me to do this apparently it gets blood flow to the placenta better and increases oxygen to baby). Can you call your midwife? Is there another EPU closeby? That's awful that it's not open. I live near a big city and haven't heard of them shutting before. Just eat well and look after yourself, get you Dr to sign you off work, it's really not worth the risk. Finally Flowers

Thanks pebbles. We live quite rurally in NI, so no big cities near us. The midwife I was speaking to today just told me to go to A and E if I started bleeding through more than a pad an hour. As I said it isn't even really blood, more blood stained cervical mucus.

Just don't know what to make of it. One minute I'm convinced I'm losing the baby and the next I think I'm not even truly bleeding IYSWIM and it'll be grand.

I have my feet propped up now.

Sorry this is happening Flowers
I’m interested to know when you had your miscarriage earlier this year what prompted you to go to the EPU? Was it ‘just ‘ the mucus discharge or was it accompanied by cramping?

It was like light pink on the tissue when I wiped, but there was no mucus in March, more like a very tiny amount of blood diluted down. I rang my GP and they advised that there was nothing they could do and to contact the EPU in the morning (EPU only open some mornings around here).

But no other symptoms such as cramping?
It’s just so scary that pregnancy symptoms and miscarriage symptoms cross over each other so much.

No cramping. No.
