Mucus plug, what next?

Hi all, I'm 38+1 and been losing my mucus plug mainly yesterday and some more today. I've had some cramping at bottom of bump but not particularly painful cramps. Fanny daggers have intensified.

What should I be expecting now? I know it could still be a week or so...

This is my first pregnancy so I'm sat here wondering whether it's time to get excited or not 🙈

What happened to you after you lost your plug?

Impossible to say but it’s a good sign that things are moving in the right direction. With me baby arrived 7 days after my plug going.

Sorry to comment without any advice but I haven't had children and I just had to ask what on earth 'fanny daggers' are!? Grin

Honestly? Just to expect labour in the next few weeks haha! Mucus plug can mean hours, days or weeks. Fanny daggers intensifying could possibly be because baby is engaged. Hope it all starts along soon for you Smile

How you getting on italianshark? I’m 40+1 today and not lost any plug yet, I’m getting impatient looking for signs of labour!! I’ve had increasing pressure and fanny daggers for the last week or so but I think it’s just baby engaging.
