Where to go for maternity dress for wedding?

I've been asked to be in a wedding party and need to find a dress! The bride is having the ladies choose their own dress, but it should be brown, silk/chiffon/or satin/ and knee length. I've done a bit of searching online, but haven't found anything like what I need. WHere do people go for special occasion maternity dresses? WHich of the department stores have nice maternity departments? I live in London, but I have two small children and it is really difficult to go browsing for hours. I would prefer not to spend a lot of money (am keeping an eye on Ebay as well), but as the wedding is a bit short notice, I am willing to spend more if it 1)satisfies the bride's requirements 2)fits and 3)Doesn't make me look like a malteser. Thanks for any advice!

I got something a couple of years ago for a wedding from Blooming Marvellous. It is chiffon and floral with a brown background. I bought it a couple of years ago so am not sure what they have this year, but it was a reasonable price.

i've got 3 weddings this summer and am planning to go to Push Maternity in Islington to buy a dress - not sure if they have anything that exactly suits your bride's requirements but worth a look: www.pushmaternity.com

Thanks! Some good options already taking shape. How about department stores? Any of the big ones have a nice maternity section?

oh oh
knew this would be handy for someone

Dept stores generally rubbish for matwear IME

Ebay is always worth a look for new occasion matwear - so many people buy it and wear it once, or grow out of it before the occasion arrives. I bought this to wear as a wedding guest whihc fits all the criteria except knee length.

Try also Push, Crave, HomeMummy and Seraphine.

well there are two of them on ebay in a 16 at the moment (one, two), so I reckon there'll be other sizes on soon enough if you keep your eyes open.

The 10 I have is pretty generous so if your wedding is after 21st July I may be open to offers...

I know this is really cheeky but I'm a dress maker and could do you a nice one in silk/satin/chiffon! If you're interested just let me know

Here's a couple of patterns:

Try formes, little bit expensive but really decent clobber. They may have a sale coming up ?
