37 weeks pregnant and wet the bed last night :-(

I feel mortified.

We ate late, and I had a big drink before going to bed. Usually I wake up an hour or 2 after going to sleep and need to rush to the toilet to wee. Last night I woke up doing it Blush thankfully got pads down under the sheets in preparation for waters breaking. Definitely urine and not waters.

My DH was an absolute love and helped me strip the bed whilst reassuring me but I feel so embarrassed and worried about it happening again! I am fed up now of being pregnant and feel like my body is not my own!

Honestly you won't be the first or last to do it .

If you makes you feel better , 2 days after having my youngest I was stood in the kitchen with pretty much the whole of my family when my DBro made me laugh and without warning I proper wet myself , not just a trickle but a full on big wee that pooled over the kitchen tiles .

I couldn't stop it coming which just made me laugh even more so I just stood there and let it happen . 7 year later they still take the mick out of me and my weak bladder Grin

Not as bad as just last year when I meet my new partner parents for the very first time and I wet myself in their kitchen due to a severe kidney infection that had turned into sepsis .. luckily they too laugh about it now , but the look of horror on his dm face as the ambulance carted me off still makes me giggle now .

I hope my stupid bladder make you feel a little less embarrassed. By the time you have given birth , your DH will have seen much worse coming out of you so I wouldn't worry about this at all Grin

When I'm in bed and mildly need a wee, sometimes the baby's head shifts against my bladder and OH MY GOD I NEED A WEE!!! And then it moves and I only mildly need a wee again.

At 37 weeks your baby is probably engaged, and after a nights sleep and a full bladder I expect the baby just forced the situation.
Don't be mortified, it doubt it's down to lack of control, I honestly think it's down to sudden movement and force.

Oh dear @bunchybaby! Those stories have definitely made me feel better! 😂 Yes I'm sure it's things like these that we will laugh about eventually. It's my second baby so thankfully DH is fully aware of what to expect although this hasn't happened before! He's been great today, reminding me of all the times he's wet himself after too much alcohol 😂

Thanks ladies you've all made me feel much better xx
