Eczema flare-ups in pregnancy

Hello ladies! Smile 18 + 6 today. I am having really itchy flare ups in "usual" places - behind the ears, on the neck - but also in "unusual places" - on my hands, between my fingers, etc. I went to the pharmacist and she confirmed 1) it's eczema; 2) she can't give me any treatment for it and my best bet is Aveeno. Did you suffer from eczema-related pregnancy and did you find any solution to make it better?

Ooops, I meant "pregnancy-related eczema". Eczema-related pregnancy would be a weeeeeird side symptom. Grin

Hi, I have suffered with bad eczema for quite a while, now I'm pregnant I've had to stop using my normal creams. I've started using Aveeno and it definitely helps. It's not as good as the steroids but I would say it's the best alternative I've tried.

Hope it works for you, dry skin can be so frustrating!

Yes! I get dry skin anyway especially on my hands. But even before I got my BFP, I got the most horrendous eczema on my hands. That’s under control now (regular use of Certraben ointment) but my skin is still very dry and my lips.

I read somewhere it’s supposed to be sign of DD Wink

Hi @monipop84
I have eczema and my specialist (who happens to specialise in children's eczema but also treats adults) and he has written this fantastic article on eczema in pregnancy drpimm.com/blog/treating-skin-conditions-in-pregnancy/ I hope it helps! He's also doing a free consultation at the moment, which might be able to help??

I suffer from excema and have had every cream prescribable on the NHS. My dermatologist was at his wits end and we tried E45 itch relief. Instantly cured the problem
