Date 2 weeks off?

Has anyone else had an issue with dates being really off? By my lmp I should be 37 weeks on Wednesday but by every scan I measured 2 weeks behind that so I’m 35 weeks on Thursday. Tbh it hasn’t really bothered me after we established that the baby was healthy but now I’m getting to the end and getting a bit worried as I will be an elcs and don’t want to leave things too late. I should add that we know just about exactly when we could have conceived (not the busiest month) and it fits in with the lmp.

It could be that baby is just measuring a little bit smaller. Be aware that these measurements always have a margin of error too Smile whatever due date you were given at your 12 week scan should generally be very close to your actual gestation and probably didn't change much in relation to your date based on LMP.

What gestation will you be when you have your section?

According to my scans with DD I'm measuring almost 2 weeks behind but I also know my DS1 was only 6lb4 so assuming she's just on the smaller side. Hopefully that's all there is to it Smile

The due date from my 12 week scan was 2 weeks off from my lmp. They are doing my section at 39 weeks which is fine if it is 39 weeks but not great if it’s 41 (I have gestational diabetes).

LMP is a very inaccurate way of determining due date, and is only used because women generally don’t know exactly when they ovulate, how long inplantation takes etc. It’s a rough guide. Scan measurements, while obviously not perfect, are a far more accurate way of determining due date.
