Implantation Bleeding?!

so guys I had the implant Nexplanon at the end of July/ beginning of August, and I luckily hadn't had a period since I got it. But on Friday I started getting this very dark brown (didn't look like dark blood it was more of a grey/charcoal colour). (it was still happening yesterday=day 3)
I checked and it did happen 9 days after my last sexual intercourse,

In my mind it could be 3 things, and I would be grateful if people could leave their comments on what they think...

1. Dark brown implantation bleeding

2. A very light period because I am on the implant

3. an underlying health issue

It’s didn’t come at the same time as I had my periods before I got the implant

I've never had the implant but I know it can mess with your periods. The only way to really know is wait until 14 days after sex and take a test to rule out pregnancy.

The implant is reportedly the safest method of contraception so it’s doubtful you are pregnant. Possible but highly doubtful. I had the implant myself and it made me bleed and spot throughout, it’s renowned for causing irregular bleeding. Take a test if you’re concerned but in all likelihood, it’s the hormones from the implant.

Thanks for the advice, I feel it’s still to early to take a pregnancy test!

Also today is day 4 does that make it less likely to be implantation bleeding

If you have been bleeding for 4 days then it's likely a period. Changing/having a new form of hormonal birth control is likely to change your cycle slightly. If you are still worried then take a test 14 days after sex but it's unlikely you are pregnant.

I started bleeding at 8dpo to 13dpo and it was exactly like a normal period. I got a bfp at 14dpo!

@gossipgirl, this is like a charcoal grey colour so doesntvreally seem like a period?!
