Spatone

Just wondering if anyone has found Spatone has dramatically affected their energy levels.

I used to feel like a tired slug most of the day (even before pregnancy) and since I started taking it 2 weeks ago I'm shocked at the difference.

I noticed my iron level was at 11 on my early blood test which was under the normal range, shocked no midwife had mentioned it to me.

So these 2 sachets a day seem to be sorting me right out. I'm hoping this continues. But just wondering if anyone else has found this too.

Following intently; would like to know if Spatone makes a difference!

I think Spatone is brilliant. I suffer from periodic low iron, and Spatone seems to literally perk me right up almost immediately.

For pregnancy, it's really good to take from the start as one your iron gets properly low, it' unfortunately is not high enough dosage. So with DD I wasn't taking the spatone I took throughout my pregnancy with DS, and low and behold, became severely anaemic and had to take those horrible pills that make your tummy seriously disgusting....!

That's interesting to know that it also has an immediate effect with you too. I was thinking it was too good to be true.

Nothing has lifted me like this has.

Praying it continues!!!

Just checked the packet in boots and it's only 5mg of iron or 36% of your recommend amount. Pregnacare vitamins have 17mg. Surely a good quality pregnancy vitamin might be more effective and cheaper? Genuinly asking.

Kate - for full blown aneamia, I think the answer is yes, Spatone won't do any good. For mildly low iron, and to help prevent continued lowering of levels, spatone can really help.

I really struggled with tiredness and low iron when pregnant with DC1. Started taking a spatone a day as well as a pre conception vitamin and now pregnancy vitamin and the difference in energy levels this time round is huge, even with a toddler! (currently 36 weeks) can’t say it’s specif down to the spatone but I’m sure it’s contributing

I'm taking pregnacare max as well as 2 sachets a day of Spatone.

I haemorrhaged with DS1 and felt absolutely rotten for years afterwards so doing everything I can to get these levels up.

I took those ferrous sulphate tablets after my first and I'm not sure what they did as never felt as good as I do now.
