I don’t know if I’m being silly lol, but I literally still don’t look pregnant for 5 months I look bloated more than anything. Is this bad or normal? Should I speak to my midwife?

I’m 21 weeks and very few people know I’m pregnant as my bump is tiny. It was the same for my DS.

Have you had your 20 week scan yet? They will check measurements there and let you know if baby is the right size.

Mine popped at 25 weeks. Don't worry soon enough you'll be getting angry because you can't put your own shoes on anymore!

ZackPizzazz · 11/11/2018 20:46

Normal. Especially with your first, you often don't really look pregnant as opposed to like you ate a few extra pies until well after 20 weeks.

chloechloe · 11/11/2018 21:20

It’s completely normal - i announced all 3 of my pregnancies to work at 23-24 weeks and nobody had noticed I was pregnant.

Pigeoncat · 11/11/2018 21:25

I’m nearly 38 weeks and I still don’t look that pregnant!

Stephisaur · 11/11/2018 21:32

I was still just a bit fat at 20 weeks 😂 started to show in earnest at around 24 weeks. I’m 35 weeks tomorrow with a big baby and even now I’m not HUGE (although I’m definitely showing!)

StarfishSandwich · 11/11/2018 21:39

This is me at 22 weeks. I thought I looked massive. On reflection, I just looked a bit fat. It’s totally normal not to have a proper bump or even a bump at all until a bit later on. I suddenly ballooned at about 25 weeks.

Please don’t worry- everyone carries differently. I currently look like a beached whale at 23 weeks and have got people asking if I’m due very soon and their looks of pity when I say no are a bit frustrating. You worry whatever you have and people seem to like commenting on bumps. In my first pregnancy I had a friend that was at a similar stage. There is a photo of us at 6 months and I look massively pregnant. She looks tiny and has a little orange sized bump. Six weeks later she had overtaken me and was enormous. Everyone just carries differently and pops at different times.
