Dating pregnancy when conceived without a period

Hi ladies

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant! The test said 3+ weeks. However, I’m not sure how it will be dated as I came off the pill in July and never had a period. How will I know when to book my 12 week scan in?!

Also, I’ve never been pregnant before so I’m at the stage of “what do I do? Call my doc?”

I’m excited as you can tell from the rambling but keep checking myself as I know it’s such early days.

Congrats. Contact your Gp practice and they’ll refer you to a midwife. You probably won’t need to see a GP - receptionist will know local procedure. The midwife will arrange for you to have an early scan to date you.

They’ll most likely do a scan straight away to date where you are

If you can afford it, you can book a private scan to date and see what's what. That's what we did..last period in October,positive test in June. I was only 8 weeksish.

congratulations same thing happened to me, came off implant in August no period and September positive pregnancy test so I knew I couldn't be that far along I booked a private scan in glasgow high was only £35 when I went it was hard to even see sac so the sonographer said I must be extremely early I was only 4 weeks so gave me an app to come back for free at 7 weeks all was good have my 12 weeks scan tomorrow but will actually be 11+1. phone doctors they will give u the number to phone to get scan in place x

I was the same. Mini pill baby here so no period.

With the clear blue tests you add 2 weeks to what it says. I didn't realise this.

Doctor basically made a guess for my scan but I ended up going private to get my dates more Accurate which was good because I was a few weeks ahead than they thought.
