When did you have your “12” week scan?

I have had my letter through for my 12 week scan but it isn’t until 14+1 weeks. I really don’t want to have to wait this long. This is an IVF pregnancy and I am so anxious and the thought of waiting until 12 weeks was enough so now feeling really down about having to wait another 2 weeks.
Anybody else had this? Do you think I can ring them and see if it can be moved forward? Thanks

Different pregnancies- 13+5, 13+4, 12+4. If you want to have nuchal translucency screening done 14+1 is too late, 13+6 is the cut off; if you ring the sonography/antenatal appointments line they should change it for you with no quibbling, especially if you explain its an IVF pregnancy so the exact dates are known.

If you want screening and can't have NT screening, your options are NIPT (expensive!), quad blood test, CVS or amnio (should be offered on NHS).

Well we thought i was 12 and it was 8 weeks and 3 day then my actual 12 week scan was 13 weeks and 4 days

Mine is scheduled for when I should be 12 + 6.

Mine is scheduled for when I'm exactly 12 weeks. Currently 9+1. Counting down the days until the scan xoxo

Congratulations! Mine was 13 weeks exactly. If I were you, I’d phone your hospital to try to move it back a few days.

Mine was 13+2 but then they adjusted me to 13+4 based on the results.

I had a scan at 7+4 at the fertility clinic before they discharged me and I was bang on so I know my dates are pretty much right. I’ll give them a call in the week

My 1st was 13weeks, second was 19weeks . It was an unexpected pregnancy!

Your dates can't be "about right" with ivf. You literally know to the day when sperm met egg!

I had to call the hospital and get my scan sooner as it came as 14+5 I said I wanted the tests so it would be far to late, they gave me a new date for 13+3 which is still late but better than it was x

That would never work for me. I'm always 10 days ahead of whatever my LMP says.

So if I didn't have a scan until 14+4, I would be 16 weeks.

I would call and try and book it earlier. Failing that, I'd book a private scan at 12 weeks.

Mine was 14 weeks kings London. Did the nt just fine.

Mine was at 14wksplus5. I asked if there was any chance I could have it done sooner, so I could have screening for downs etc. Unfortunately they couldn't change it for me, wouldn't have made a difference anyway as apparently my hospital don't offer NT screening as standard for women under 35, low risk etc, and I won't be getting an official EDD until my 20 week scan. This is in Northern Ireland btw.

If you are worried can you pay for a private scan?

my scan is tomorrow I will be 11+1. I phones as soon as I knew I was pregnant literally was straight away so around 2 weeks I had letter about 6 weeks and have been waiting since xx

This time around mine was booked for 14+1 but as I wanted the nuchal test that was too late. I rearranged to what should have been 12+2 but turned out to be 13.
My previous two were 12 and 12+3.

I spoke to the hospital and they have changed it for me so it’s now booked for when I’m 11+6. There was confusion as it’s an IVF pregnancy and they couldn’t work out my dates correctly. 2 weeks to go!!
