20 week scan

Hello- I’m just after a bit of advice about dates please!

I received a letter stating that due to unforeseen circumstances, my 20 week scan had been changed. Whilst I understand that this happens, I’ll now be 21 weeks and 4 days when I go for the scan.

Is this too late for a 20 week scan or doesnt it make a blind bit of difference?!

Thank you!

Hi. Just had a look on NHS and it said this;

This detailed ultrasound scan, sometimes called the mid-pregnancy scan, is usually carried out when you're between 18 and 21 weeks pregnant. In some areas, it may be carried out later than 21 weeks.

So suggests it shouldn't be a problem xx

In my trust we are audited and must carry out the anomaly scan between 18+0 and 20+6. If I were you I’d give the antenatal clinic a call to see if it can be moved

Thank you, I’ll give the hospital a call on Monday to see if it can be moved. If not, I guess I’ll just have to go with it.

Mines at 22 weeks, no one seems concerned, so I'm going with it!
