Quick advice - what to drink to hide pregnancy from DM tonight

Just that really! Meeting my DM later tonight for bingo, we'll usually have a few drinks and a catch up on whats going on, however I found out I'm pregnant 2 days ago and awaiting MW appt so clearly don't want a drink but don't want to tell my mum too early in case anything goes wrong. Any suggestions what I can order to drink as she will be very suspicious if I don't have a large glass of vino in front of me

Just tonic/lemonade and a slice of lemon and pass it off as gin&tonic/vodka lemonade? Can you drive? That’s probably the easiest way!

Just get a coke and say it’s vodka and coke?

Good idea on the driving, but then I'll have to think of an excuse why I'm driving . She's a very crafty lady my DM and desperate for me to have a baby, just don't want to get her too excited too early xx

Tonic water with ice and lemon looks like G&T, water with a dash of apple juice can look exactly like white wine just ask for it to be served in a wine glass. Congratulations!

Tell her you're having a really awful period and had to see the GP for some strong painkillers and you can't drink on them.

Tell her you have a sore something and just don't fancy a drink or you started your period and feel rank.

Thanks for your suggestions ladies, like the idea of the apple juice/white wine. Was contemplating asking the bar staff to stick some Ribena in a wine glass to look like a rubbish merlot 😂

Antibiotics are a great excuse. Antibiotics for a urine infection so alcohol would be bo good with either :)

Antibiotics are a terrible excuse. You're hungover, you've taken painkillers, you have to be up early, you offer to drive her home, you feel a cold coming on that DP has had an it was awful etc.

Antibiotics are common code for 'im pregnant and not telling'. Just have a glass of wine and make excuses to tip it into a plant pot or so.ething while she uses the loo.

Yeah as soon as anyone says antibiotics I get a strong idea they're pregnant.

Just dont say anything about your drink. I never mention what ive got or why. Just fancied a coke/lemonade maybe.

Yes the “antibiotics excuse” is only really used by people who want others to “guess” their secret! Everyone drink alco when taking antibiotics. I think cystitis is a better one, to as that is fucking agony if you have even the smallest sip of
