Hi,

Got my BFP on Tuesday but I'm Not due on my period until this weekend. Would you book an appointment with the midwife now or wait until next week when I've 'officially missed my period?

Thanks.

It probably doesn't matter when you ring. In most places, regardless of how early you ring, they book your first appointment for when you are 8-10 weeks pregnant.

Agree with PP, generally your appointment will be 8 weeks ish whether you put the referral in at 4 weeks or 6 weeks. :)

My midwife won’t let you make an appointment until you are 8 weeks, if you call any earlier they ask you to call back. I would suggest calling just to make sure you know what the process is in your clinic then at least you are prepared.

Congratulations!

I did the booking line at about 6 weeks. I have my first appointment next week when I will be 11 weeks. It seems the service here is massively overstretched as I didn't even get a response until earlier this week.

Thanks everyone.

I gave the community midwife line a call and they were happy to book my first appointment. Booked for 6th December when I'll be 8/9 weeks.
